As a Technical Author, you will join our Technical Documentation group with an objective to develop technical content for complex Land, Air, Sea equipment & systems, based on design drawings and engineering data. You will get specialized training on applicable systems and structures, and you will get familiar with the processes of the creation of structured content compliant with all applicable norms, standards and specifications.

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

• Creation of technical manuals and data modules for systems & components according to specifications and client requirements. 
• Creation and revision of Component Maintenance & Repair Manuals (CMM/CRM), Maintenance & Troubleshooting Manuals (AMM/TSM), Illustrated parts catalogues (IPC), structural repair manuals (SRM) etc. 
• Analysis of Engineering Documents & drawings
• Analysis of engineering documents
• Ensure harmonization with all relevant international norms and standards (ATA ispec 2200, S1000D/S2000M)

Your Profile:

• Engineering Degree (Dipl.-Ing. or MSc in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
• Extensive knowledge in interpreting technical drawings
• Experience in developing content in Adobe Framemaker, PTC Arbortext Editor or other structured content platforms
• Familiarity with maintenance activities and practices such as assembly - disassembly, removal/installation etc.
• Strong IT/Data handling Skills (ie experience working with databases)
• Experience in Python will be considered as a strong plus
• Fluency in English: understanding, speaking, writing
• Knowledge of German will be considered as a strong plus
• Strong sense of responsibility and discretion, with the ability & eligibility to work on confidential and security-sensitive projects related to defense and military applications.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
